I confess I was a little put off the Ionians after visiting Kefalonia but am now a true convert. Paxos is recommended? Right - on my list! Have a wonderful trip. :)

@TVA - ever been to Symi? That's another favourite of mind - and pretty small. Lefkada is just the right size, to my mind...and so unspoilt.

@Monika - oh wow, that sounds wonderful. I'd love to visit Istanbul too though... Yes, you've got it - Serenity offers a perfect halfway house - because Kim's ties are so close there, she works with the local community and so everyone gets a great experience. I hadn't travelled off season for many many years and have to confess it was bliss. :)Exmoorjanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09230395732150659356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4677133322409652783.post-52582747714977763312012-05-29T23:19:56.492-11:002012-05-29T23:19:56.492-11:00I love Greece! A couple of years ago we sailed across there pre-season and had the chance to experience the real Greek hospitality before the tourists took over the islands. It was so lovely and relaxing! If we hadn't been on a deadline to get to Istanbul, we would've spent a few more weeks cruising the islands.
The holidays organised by Serenity sound perfect for those of us not looking for the "package" deals, but wanting to experience all that the locals have to offer.Monika aka mumonthebrinkhttp://mumonthebrink.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4677133322409652783.post-18950347255477360522012-05-29T06:51:16.689-11:002012-05-29T06:51:16.689-11:00I love the Greek islands, too.
