The Tree of Life

Ach, for heavens' sake, this image won’t let me go today. I keep trying to edit and it keeps nudging me; more than flirting, it’s head-butting me. So, hands up, I give in. You want to be seen, be seen. I bow to Your boughs.  Take root here.  Grow.

The Tree of Life.

It’s there in every civilisation, every body of myth, every culture. I work it in Qabalah, Kabbalah, call it what you will…journeying up, down, across the shining paths, its branches, its roots. From Malkuth to Kether and then out into the swirling emanations, the Veils of Negative Existence.

The Tree of Life speaks to the unconscious mind. It has its own tongue, its own fingers. You may touch the Tree but the Tree reaches back and touches you too.

Gnothi Seauton – Know Thyself. The only real authority is inside oneself.  Search within. And here's a quote that keeps nagging at me.  My anti-guru keeps saying it and now every book I open is echoing it.

‘Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.’
 As above, so below.

 As within, so without.
"Your own self-realisation is the greatest service you can render the world." Sri Ramana Maharishi
'Pilgrimage to the place of the wise is to find escape from the flame of separation.' Rumi

'I am closer to you than yourself, than your soul, than your own breath. Why do you not see me? Why do you not hear me?' Ibn Al Arabi.
'Each bush and oak doth know. I AM.' Henry Vaughan.
'The heart is nothing but the Sea of Light...the place of the vision of God.' Rumi.
'I am thou and thou art I; and wheresoever thou art I am there.' The Gospel of Eve.

'Humanity is being taken to the point where it will have to choose between suicide and adoration.' Teilhard de Chardin
'The world today hangs on a single thread, and that thread is the psyche of man.' C.G. Jung.

This is a bit spooky as I've been talking with a friend about these matters for a good couple of months and it's weird, because it makes me wonder, Jane, have you picking up my spiritual quest? :)

A great and lovely post. Clarifying. Really.

The beauty is once you find 'it' you never lose it. And the next stage isn't frightening or so far away.

bloody hell blogger! comment lost 2x now. Must remember to copy it next time
Anyway ... Was saying something about being shallow (surprise) and loving the Klimt and wanting just to coo, "Trees!" like a child might point at the moon, sink to a sit and say, "Moon!"
I need to make a double door blind thing, I feel a tree coming on.

Love Marek's poem. The psyche, of course, includes all things starting with the letter D.
Always enriched here. And I so enjoy the imagery you share.

@Tee - We're all on the same path, Love... :)

@Milla - Blogger plays silly bloggers all the time. And just cooing Trees is more than enough..it's all that you need to do.

@Ashen - yes, that song is one of my favourites. Glad you like the images too. :)
